The current global context, characterized by the Covid 19 pandemic, wars in various parts of the world, the
closest of which is in the proximity of our country (neighbouring Ukraine), the growing energy crisis and
the imminence of a global economic one, significantly impacts the way each person manages daily activity
in terms of emotions and behaviour, resorting to their own coping mechanisms. The present analysis
expresses some considerations regarding the management of the current psycho-traumatic events by
Romanian people, and some possible explanations, based on day to day observations and current
reflections in the media.
NICOLETA CIOBANU-HAȘOVSCHI

http://ambsjournal.usv.ro/index.php/ambs/article/view/30

Skeletal class III patients, especially adults, are best treated by orthognathic surgery and orthodontic treatment; when adding an
unfavorable factor such as upper nanic incisors, the treatment difficulty increases. In this particular case, the patient and both his parents
rejected the orthognathic surgery, their main concern being the crowding of the teeth and not the physical appearance of the facial
profile. Based on the skeletal measurements, the orthodontic treatment goals were: align both arches, retrude lower arch, stabilization
of occlusion. MBT classic brackets were bonded aiming for closure of spaces in the lower arch and retrusion of lower incisors. After
the active treatment, 16 months, essix retainers were given to wear 12/24. The patient was instructed to be aware of any change in his
occlusion and call the clinic for any small tooth movement immediately.
HARICLEA MOROŞAN

http://ambsjournal.usv.ro/index.php/ambs/article/view/31

Spirulina (Arthrospira) sp. is a blue-green algae that is often used as a dietary supplement in powder or tablet form because of its beneficial nutrients, lack of toxicity and therapeutic effects. This study investigates its effects on subjects supplemented with Spirulina, focusing on its effects on triglyceride values. A literature review was conducted on the effects of Spirulina on different organisms, with a focus on triglycerides. Most research with Spirulina sp. has shown that it has a hypotriglyceridemic effect on patients given Spirulina, but also on some animals, with numerous studies also done on rats. Following analysis, it has been found that Spirulina supplementation has a favorable effect on triglycerides, lowering their value considerably, leading to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The microalga Spirulina sp. has been the subject of research due to evidence of its therapeutic potential in several areas, including its ability to prevent and reduce damage caused by dyslipidemia and its antioxidant activity. The present study suggests that Spirulina supplementation may produce beneficial effects on triglycerides.
CIPRIAN ANTONDELIA IVANCRINA LOGHINNICOLETA FLUTURMARIUS-NICUSOR GRIGORE

http://ambsjournal.usv.ro/index.php/ambs/article/view/32

The present study discusses the relevance of terms “officinale“ and “officinalis“ as plant species names in
Romanian flora. Among the species identified in Romanian flora that bear these names and suggest
medicinal properties, literature data confirm them for several species, while medicinal value of other herbals
remains unclear.
CIPRIAN ANTONIOANA-DANIELA IVANANDREEA-CLAUDIA IFTIMEMARIA-MAGDALENA CHIRILĂMARIUS-NICUȘOR GRIGORE

http://ambsjournal.usv.ro/index.php/ambs/article/view/33

Romanian folklore may be regarded as a consistent source of data about the role and importance of plants in day by day life of Romanian people. The folk poetry is an apparent "database" of uncensored elements formed through the cultural evolution and emerging from the collective unconscious. Within these elements, plants represent a constant and strong part, occurring as a pivotal component of the vision about life. In this study, plant names extracted from a collection of Romanian folk poetry were analyzed from
several points of view; their relevance in respect with frequency, botanical diversity and their multiple implications in everyday life are also discussed. Several subtle aspects derived from the use of plants are also given. The study reveals that plant names can contribute to further elucidation of issues related to Romanian ethnogenesis, psychology and history.
Marius-Nicușor GRIGOREAna COJOCARIU
